The three scenarios people come with
- A Google Ads suspension. Wordings such as “circumventing systems”, “suspicious payment activity” or a violation of the policies relating to the advertised business. Behind it there is usually a link between assets: a payment profile, a domain, the account history and sometimes another account you were once connected to.
- A disabled or hijacked business profile. The company listing disappears from Search and Maps, or a third party gains control of it: a former contractor, an agency, a “promotion specialist”. For a local business that is a direct loss of calls and enquiries.
- Lost access to work email. Email on your domain is the root of the whole infrastructure. Everything else is recovered through it: advertising, analytics, payment services, the domain. If there is one super administrator and they are unreachable, it is not the email that stops but the company.
Why Google suspends accounts
The Google ecosystem does not assess an individual ad but the whole set of signals: whether the advertised site matches the declared activity, the stability of the payment details, the geography of logins, the history of connected accounts, the transparency of the legal entity. Small businesses trip over the mundane: ads launched from a personal account, payment from an individual's card, a domain registered to a contractor, and an “About” page with no company details on it.
Suspension for circumventing systems is a category of its own. It is the most alarming wording because it does not describe a specific action. In practice it often means the system has linked your account to another one that broke the rules earlier, through a card, an IP address, a domain or a shared administrator. An appeal works here only when you can present a documented picture: who owns the business, what it does, where the payment comes from, and why the link to the problem account is either absent or explainable.
With a Business Profile the logic is different: the key question is proving your right to manage the location. Verification may require documents, photographs, address confirmation or a video call. If the listing was once verified by a contractor, that right will have to be established again, and it has to be done carefully so as not to end up with a duplicate listing and lose the reviews.
How I work
- 1Enquiry. You send the exact wording of the notification, the date, a link to the site and a description of who else has had access to the accounts.
- 2Initial assessment. Free, within three hours. I tell you whether there is anything to work with and what the next step is. If there is no chance, I say so here, before money enters the conversation.
- 3Diagnosis. I go through the links between assets: the Google account, the payment profile, the domain and its registrar, email, the administrator list, the verification history. You get a written verdict with the cause, a submission plan and an assessment of the chances. €120, credited towards the success fee if we proceed.
- 4Preparing the submission. I assemble the document package: proof of the legal entity, rights to the domain, the site's alignment with the declared activity, identification of the responsible person. I frame the appeal through the correct route.
- 5Follow-through and fixing the root cause. I handle the correspondence, go through additional verification steps including video confirmation for a Business Profile, and keep track of deadlines. Once access is back, I move advertising and analytics into a corporate account, add a second super administrator, transfer the domain and payment profile to the legal entity, and enable two-factor authentication and backup recovery routes.
When I take a case and when I do not
- I take it on. There is a company or registered activity and a way to prove the right to the business or the domain with documents.
- I take it on. The suspension relates to payments, verification, a disputed landing page or the legacy of a previous contractor.
- I take it on. The Business Profile exists and you can confirm the location is yours.
- I do not. Deliberate circumvention of the rules, grey verticals, accounts bought from third parties.
- I do not. The domain was bought with a history of violations and is being used in exactly the way the previous owner used it.
- I do not. Nothing to prove the business, the rights to the domain or the connection to the location.
Why recovery alone is not enough
Getting a suspended account back solves today's problem and has no bearing on tomorrow's. In practice, in almost every case the root cause turned out to be structural: a single administrator, a domain held by a contractor, payment by personal card, no second factor, work correspondence in a personal inbox. Until that changes, the next suspension is a matter of time.
So once access is back I go through a short resilience checklist: a company should have at least two administrators on different devices, the domain and email on the legal entity, advertising and analytics in a corporate account, payments through a company payment method. Separately I record what to do if a phone is lost: it is the most common way access is lost, and it is entirely solved by backup codes prepared in advance.
The result is measured simply: if any person, device or account disappears tomorrow, the business keeps running.

The main risk in cases like this is the attempt to “create a new listing”. It produces a duplicate, loses the reviews and pushes the business down in local results. The correct route is a request for the right to manage the existing location.

FAQ
Google Ads is suspended for “circumventing systems”. Is that recoverable?
Sometimes. That wording usually means a link to another account or payment method. If the link is explainable and the business is backed by documents, an appeal makes sense. If the account was bought or used to get around moderation, the answer is no.
A contractor manages our company listing and will not hand over access. What do I do?
Do not create a second listing. You need to formally request the right to manage the location and pass verification as the business owner. That preserves the reviews, the photographs and the position in local results.
I lost the phone with two-factor authentication and have no access to the email. Is that a dead end?
Not if there are backup codes, a second administrator or a provable right to the domain. If none of those exist, recovery becomes much harder. That is exactly why I always set up backup routes once access is back.
How long will it take?
Usually from a few days to a few weeks. Business Profile verification may require extra steps and drag on. I give exact timelines only after the diagnosis.
Do you need my password?
No. The work goes through standard access roles that you revoke with one click. Passwords, SMS codes and access to your email are not needed and will never be requested.
Do you guarantee reinstatement?
No. Nobody can guarantee it except Google itself. What I am responsible for is a correct procedure, one properly prepared submission and an honest assessment of the chances before you pay the main amount.
